Novitec offers a wide bodykit, new wheels, lowering springs, and a new exhaust for the Ferrari 296 GTS, boosting its power output to 856 hp.
Novitec has taken its N-Largo treatment to the Ferrari 296 GTS , the drop-top version of the potent supercar. This tuning package delivers a wider stance, more aggressive styling, and a noticeable power boost, all before Ferrari releases its own track-focused Versione Speciale. The 296 GTS N-Largo follows its coupe sibling, the 296 GTB N-Largo , which debuted last year, and carries over the same modifications.
Novitec's upgrades encompass a carbon fiber widebody kit, larger wheels, a sportier exhaust, and a subtle increase in horsepower, all aimed at enhancing the already impressive performance of the plug-in hybrid. Vittorio Strosek, the designer behind the N-Largo bodywork, has significantly widened the 296 GTS, with the new front and rear fenders extending its width by 120 mm (4.7 inches) at the rear. Additional vents and intakes improve airflow, while the redesigned front bumper features a sharper splitter and an optional exposed carbon vented hood. The rear stands out with a ducktail spoiler, which can be replaced with an optional fixed rear wing, complemented by a new diffuser. The side profile has also been refined with redesigned mirrors and Novitec NF11 NL forged alloy wheels by Vossen, measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear. Customers can choose from 72 different color options for these wheels.Inside, Novitec offers extensive customization options, with Alcantara and leather upholstery available in any color. The chassis has been lowered by 35 mm (1.4 inches) thanks to sports springs, and an optional front lift system ensures the carbon fiber splitter can clear speed bumps. Notably, Novitec has paid attention to the sound of the 296 GTS, ensuring it matches its aggressive appearance. The signature exhaust upgrade can be crafted from Inconel with 999 fine gold plating, leading to dual tailpipes adorned with optional carbon fiber rings. Novitec also boosted the output of the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 by 38 hp (28 kW / 38 PS), leaving the electric motor unchanged. This results in a combined output of 856 hp (638 kW / 868 PS), bringing it closer to its main rival, the Lamborghini Temerario. While the extra power is a welcome addition, Ferrari's own 296 Versione Speciale is expected to surpass the Novitec version with even greater performance. The factory-tuned model will likely benefit from weight savings, improved aerodynamics, and a sharper chassis setup, all engineered directly from Maranello.
