A Nottinghamshire salon that started 10 years ago ‘on a budget' with secondhand furniture gets a huge revamp and name change . Adam Radage, 43, first opened his salon Twenty 10 Hair Studio in 2010, on Russell Drive in Wollaton.
He saw the unit in Wollaton as he was driving to work one day. He continued: “There was a children’s clothes shop on Russell Drive, a small little shop, that wasn’t there very long. It had closed down and I said to my partner at the time, that would make quite a nice little salon actually.” “I was a little bit nervous going out of the city centre because of worrying that people wouldn’t follow.”
“I realised it wasn’t really about that - the people in the local area were so happy to have someone in the area that was good that it just brought a massive influx of people in the area straightaway because there was no one catering to them, they had to travel into town.” The new landlady purchased the new building two years ago, just after the coronavirus>Covid pandemic. After the new purchase, the landlady and Adam decided to work together to upgrade the salon.
