Dallas Police are investigating an incident at NorthPark Center, after the mall was evacuated.

Operations have returned to normal at Dallas's NorthPark Center after crowds of shoppers and employees rushed out of the building Wednesday during an evacuation for"security measures." A fire alarm was activated at about 12:30 p.

m., according to a statement from a NorthPark representative. Dallas Police told NB 5 the mall was evacuated due to a bomb threat and that they focused their investigation near the northwest corner of the property. An employee at the mall told NBC 5 it was like any other day until the fire alarm went off. "We had to let everybody out ... then we heard some people say it's a bomb threat," said Lawrence Bassil."Somebody said, like, there's a gunshot. I'm not really sure, but that's basically what we heard."NBC 5 crews at the scene reported seeing police with K-9 officers searching the area near Macy's and Nordstrom. After searching the building, police gave the all-clear at about 3:15 p.m., according to NorthPark officials. Video from Texas Sky Ranger showed dozens of people gathering in the parking lots outside the mall and moving across the street. Traffic was also seen building up around the mall and at the intersection of North Central Expressway and Northwest Highway.Dallas Police did not confirm whether they found anything alarming at the property or whether any gunshots had been fired.
