Northlight Theatre in Skokie has announced its 2023-24 season.
The current upcoming slate of four shows, under artistic director BJ Jones and executive director Timothy J. Evans, opens in September at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie Blvd., Skokie, and includes a world premiere by John Patrick Shanley. Noah Haidle’s play revisits a woman’s life over decades.: Directed by Georgette Verdin and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the original by Frederick Knott, the murder mystery that inspired Hitchcock.: Directed by Hamid Dehghani. Sylvia Khoury’s Pulitzer finalist is about a former interpreter for the U.S. military in Afghanistan.: Jones directs a world premiere from Shanley, the author of “Moonstruck” and “Doubt,” about a couple coming together later in life.

Old photos recirculated to falsely claim 'Iranian attacks on US military in Syria' in April 2023Two photos of burning vehicles have been shared more than a thousand times in social media posts that falsely claim they show 'US military vehicles attacked by Iranian drones in Syria on April 8, 2023'. The photos were in fact related to incidents in Nigeria and Iraq respectively. AFP found no credible reports to show there was an attack on the US military in Syria on the day as claimed in the posts.
