On January 5th, a resident contacted authorities reporting that she suspected her ex-boyfriend had broken into her home. While on the line with officers, the woman remained concealed within her residence to avoid confrontation with the man. Responding officers promptly arrived at the scene and apprehended the 40-year-old North Royalton resident.The following day, on January 6th, a resident reported receiving a suspicious package containing QR codes.
Concerned about the package's contents, the resident declined to accept it and willingly handed it over to the officers for further investigation.Also on January 6th, officers observed a driver committing a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop. However, the driver disregarded the officers' instructions and sped away. A brief pursuit ensued, but due to the driver's high rate of speed and the activation of their car lights, officers lost sight of the vehicle as it fled southbound on Bradley Road into Westlake. Continuing their escape, the driver turned off their headlights and proceeded westbound on Detroit Road, evading surrounding police departments.On January 7th, an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. During the interaction, the officer suspected the driver might be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Considering the inclement weather conditions, the driver was transported back to the police station to undergo field sobriety testing. The 19-year-old Avon Lake resident was subsequently arrested
