The funds from Issue 16 -- a 37-year, 6.26-mill bond issue bringing in a total of $143 million -- will make many of the school district's dreams come true.

Updated: Nov. 08, 2023, 3:20 p.m.North Ridgeville City Schools Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio and Mayor Kevin Corcoran held a residents’ meeting prior to the Nov. 7 election.NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio -- It took several tries, but voters here have finally approved a bond issue for the North Ridgeville City Schools for the construction of a new high school.

In May, voters rejected a $190 million bond issue for school construction and renovation. In November 2022, voters rejected a combined school district bond issue and city tax increase.“After the election results, the North Ridgeville City School District learned Issue 16 has passed. The passing of Issue 16 will give our students the safety to thrive, space to learn and an environment for excellence.

Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio said: “We are thankful for the support of the community. We will be able to design a safer facility with enough space for our growing enrollment.
