He is charged with attempted murder, first degree burglary, attempted assault, resisting arrest and cruelty to animals.
A Section man is being held on several charges after authorities say he used a hammer to assault people in two homes Wednesday.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies and Section police officers responded after reports that a man with a hammer had entered residences on Tammy Little Drive in Section. Section police arrived at the scene and confronted the man, identified as Steed, inside the residence, still armed with the hammer.The two assault victims were transported to Highlands Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
