Actor Noah Jupe, who will be playing Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, revealed his dream casting for Wolverine in the MCU: his Stranger Things co-star Gaten Matarazzo. Actor Noah Jupe is all set to appear as Human Torch in Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot, slated for release in July 2025. In a recent interview, when asked about the actor he would want to see as Wolverine in the MCU, Jupe expressed his desire for another Stranger Things alum, Gaten Matarazzo . Heaton and Matarazzo have also worked together on Stranger Things. The former is best known for playing Jonathan Byers, Will Byers’ older brother in the Netflix series.
While Heaton is not new to the X-Men universe, having been a part of the 2020 film Dark Phoenix, Matarazzo's potential casting as Wolverine would be a fresh take on the iconic character. Details regarding who will play Wolverine in Marvel Studios’ Mutant Saga remain a mystery for many fans. While rumors have swirled about Sadie Sink potentially taking on the role of Jean Grey in the untitled X-Men film, the casting for Wolverine is yet to be officially announced. Industry insider Jeff Sneider stated, “I’m hearing that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is being eyed to play Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
