A small aircraft crashed in a residential area of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, said the Federal Aviation Administration. Brooklyn Park Fire Chief Shawn Conway said in a press conference that there were no survivors from the plane but that all residents inside the home were uninjured. There is no report yet on how many people were on board when the planed crashed.
The National Transportation and Safety Board said a team is headed to the crash scene and are expected to arrive Sunday. Investigators will then process and document the aircraft. Governor Tim Walz posted on X, formally known as Twitter, that his 'team is in touch with local officials on the scene in Brooklyn Park,' and they're 'monitoring the situation closely.' Walz goes on to say that he's grateful to the first responders answering the call.
