KOTA KINABALU: There are no plans to rebuild the houses that were washed away by the king tide phenomenon in the coastal squatter village of Kampung Forest in the Sandakan district.
Sandakan MP Vivian Wong said she was doing her best to accommodate Malaysian victims affected in the incident over Christmas at people's housing project houses and speed up the process of repairing vacant blocks at the Taman Harmoni PPR.
"I will be in touch with the Sandakan Municipal Council acting president regularly to discuss possible solutions.
