The East Bay property that once served as the headquarters of the Las Vegas Raiders sits empty, and its operators reportedly have no idea what to do with it.
If you happen to be in the market for a large athletic compound, officials in Oakland and Alameda County might have something for you. The property on the East Bay’s Bay Farm Island once served as the headquarters of the Oakland Raiders, before they moved to Las Vegas in 2020. It’s been sitting empty for months, after a failed attempt to auction it off, according to a new report in The Mercury News.
Both were used by the Raiders before the team moved to Las Vegas. The Oakland Roots Sports Club, a nascent men’s soccer franchise, moved into the compound in 2021 after the Raiders left town. They're renting out the facility, but the team’s management reportedly hasn’t shown much interest in buying it.
