Cardinals forge double-digit lead in 1st quarter behind Gordon en route to 10th straight win

“He passes out of the double team really well, and he defends, he rebounds the ball at a high level. And he just opens up the floor for our other guys,” he said. Union Catholic had come in with a three-game win streak and hot off a 56-50 win over No. 8 Elizabeth on Tuesday. The Cardinals committed just six turnovers for the game and they forced 13 and limited the Vikings to 33-percent shooting from the floor with a halfcourt zone defense that offered quick traps and contested almost every outside jumper.
