Nioko Resources' takeover of Hummingbird Resources is nearing completion. Nioko, which currently owns 41.81% of Hummingbird's shares, announced an all-cash offer to acquire the struggling miner. The offer will be open for at least 21 days after publication, with payments to accepting shareholders processed within 14 days of acceptance. Following the takeover, Nioko plans to delist Hummingbird from AIM and re-register it as a private limited company. Hummingbird has faced challenges due to operational difficulties at its Yanfolila gold mine in Mali and production delays.
