CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio - The popular Cleveland Heights jazz club and restaurant will play its swan song just nine months after completing its multimillion-dollar upgrade and renovation.After the storied restaurant, bar, and music venue closed its doors during the pandemic, the ownership group behind Red The Steakhouse got involved and has invested nearly two years in remodeling and refreshing the historic space.
Neighbors in the Cedar-Fairmount area eagerly awaited the return of the Nighttown they knew and loved with a modernized presence on Nov. 6, 2023.Levy shared the following statement on the closure with 19 News: “The management and ownership of Nighttown have made the difficult decision to close the restaurant effective August 25, 2024. While we enjoyed the journey of preserving the spirit of Nighttown and greatly improving and enhancing the underlying infrastructure and facilities, while attempting to usher in the new era of patrons, the challenges brought upon by delays, construction difficulties and unforeseen circumstances made it clear to us that it was time to pass the baton to a new stewardship.
