Prime Video has ordered two seasons of Scarpetta, a mystery thriller series based on Patricia Cornwell’s novels. Nicole Kidman will star as Kay Scarpetta, with Jamie Lee Curtis playing her sister Dorothy. Liz Sarnoff (Barry) will serve as writer and showrunner.

The two will also serve as executive producers alongside Liz Sarnoff , who will also serve as the writer and showrunner.
Scarpetta hails from Blumhouse Television and Amazon MGM Studios, with David Gordon Green directing the first two episodes. The project will reunite Green and Curtis, who both previously worked together for the three Halloween movies . “I’m beyond excited that this is finally happening. This will be great fun for all, and I’m grateful for the immense talent that the show is drawing. I’ve always been a huge fan of Jamie Lee Curtis and Nicole Kidman. Their wanting to do this is humbling and simply awesome,” said Cornwell in a statement.
