'For me, writing music is my way of viewing the world, when it doesn't make sense in my mind'
A Co Armagh teenager has embarked on her own music journey having release her very own debut track- inspired by her dad, who also pens his own songs.
This month, she has celebrated the release of her debut single 'Nothing', and said she has more music in the pipeline.Speaking to Belfast Live, Keely said: "Growing up there was always music being played because my dad has been into music. It is a big part of our family. "I had the first version of my song 'Nothing' written in about half an hour. The bridge in the song was written the day before I went to the studio, as an add-on, because I felt like something was missing.
Keely's dad Johnny, who is soon to be Principal of a local primary school, told Belfast Live that he has grown up surrounded by various music genres, and that his love for music has been passed down to his children."My mum and dad would be a massive influence too because there would always be music on in our house. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I learned to play basic guitar from a very young age and then moved more into dance music and producing.
