The New York Jets picked up their first win since October. So what does that mean for their future NFL Draft pick order?

AP Aaron Rodgers said it best after the Jets quarterback helped lead his team to Sunday’s dramatic 32-25 win over the Jaguars. “Too little, too late,” Rodgers said, after finally leading the Jets on a game winning try after failing to win the six previous games in which the team had the chance, which is why their record is 4-10 and they won only their second game since Week 3. Rodgers acknowledged that the Jets “were close” at times this year “but kind of let it get away from us in the middle of the season,” which is obvious considering their win over the Jaguars came a week after they were eliminated from the postseason.“It’s still special,” Rodgers said. “Doesn’t taint it at all. Doesn’t steal any of the joy of it. Doesn’t take away any of the fun that’s going to be on the bus just now, and then on the plane. Then we have another bus to get back to the facility. But it’s still going to be special.” Well, Rodgers is right for the players, who should bask in a rare moment of joy in what has been a season of misery. But for Jets fans it’s OK to be a little frustrated about the win, which is definitely going to leave a mark when it comes to their projected first-round draft pick in 2025.Where do Jets stand to pick right now in the 2025 NFL Draft?. That’s just one spot worse than the Jets stood a week ago on the Monday morning after their Week 14 loss to the Dolphins, which might not seem so bad considering the Jets also lost one spot in the standings even after falling to Miami for their fifth straight loss last week. The Jets’ win over the Jaguars improved them to 4-10, but bigger problem is that it put a bit of a cap on how high in the draft order they can climb with three games to play.There was no good news for the Jets in Week 15, as they were the only team projected in the top 12 of the NFL Draft to win their game – although there are still two bottom feeding teams remaining to play this week: the 2-11 Raiders, who can’t fall behind or move ahead of the Jets when they host the Falcons on Monday night, and the 4-9 Bears who will likely remain behind the Jets in the draft order with a win or loss over the Vikings. The only semi-good news? The Bengals and Cowboys both improved to 6-8, meaning the Jets would have to win out to finish with a better record than either.Like we said, it was a disaster from a tanking standpoint for the Jets, as every other one of the league’s bad teams fell and improved their draft standing or didn’t play. Here’s the full list: No. 1 projected Giants lost to the Ravens; No. 2 Raiders host the Falcons on MNF; No. 3 Patriots lost to the Cardinals; No. 4 Jaguars lost to the Jets; No. 5 Panthers lost to the Cowboys; No. 6 Titans lost to the Bengals; No. 7 Browns lost to the Chiefs; No. 9 Bears play at Minnesota on MNF; No. 10 Saints lost to the Commanders; No. 11 Dolphins lost to the Texans; and the No. 12 Colts lost to the Broncos. At 4-10 the Jets would have to lose out to have any chance of catching the Giants or Raiders, the only two remaining two-win teams, who would both have to find at least a win before the end of the season. And with their strength of schedule significantly better than the two worst three-win teams, the Patriots and Jaguars, it would now be very difficult for them to climb above either if they finish with the same record.
