Get our free newsletters in your inbox three times a week.San Antonio’s third and latest “No Kings” mass protest against the Trump administration will take place Saturday, March 28, at downtown’s Travis Park, according to organizers. The rally and march is organized by 50501 SATX in conjunction with TX-23 Indivisible and sponsored by more than 20 other organizations. Previous “No Kings” rallies have drawn as many as 10,000 people into the streets of San Antonio to protest against the White House’s authoritarian agenda. The second Trump presidency has unleashed unprecedented attacks on free speech and on the rights and dignity of immigrants, 50501 SATX head Alex Svehla said in an emailed statement. Organizers also are protesting the economic damage of the administration’s tariffs, its layoffs of federal workers and its escalating war in the Middle East. “This is a chance for everyone to unite under one cause and show the power of our voice,” Svehla said.Since 1986, the SA Current has served as the free, independent voice of San Antonio, and we want to keep it that way. Travis St., with speakers and educators discussing methods of resistance. The park also will host live entertainment along with informational tables for a variety of groups resisting the Trump agenda.Saturday’s anti-Trump action included 3,300 rallies across all 50 states.
