The Newcastle Knights have gone back-to-back winning the NRLW Grand Final beating the Gold Coast Titans 24 to 18.
The Knights began the match as favourites having won the minor premiership earlier in the year and were coming up against the Titans who finished third.
Scoring two tries in the first seven minutes of the second half the Titans were ahead with less than 30 minutes to play but the Knights refused to give up clawing their way back into the match thanks to some brilliance from their star fullback.After defending for most the opening minutes the Knights eventually broke in defence letting in the opening try to Jamie Chapman.
Entering the Titans' 20 metres for the first time in the game Upton got the ball on the edge of the field and held it up to draw in the defence before firing a cut out pass to winger Jasmin Strange who dotted it down in the corner. At the break the Knights entered the sheds with all the momentum turning the match completely after an opening barrage from the Titans.
