The reigning champions, the Los Angeles Galaxy, have undergone significant changes in a short period. The Red Bulls, on the other hand, have focused on bolstering their squad's depth during the offseason. Head coach Sandro Schwarz expressed satisfaction with the club's efforts in the transfer market, highlighting the influx of new talent.The team's defense underwent a major overhaul. Young American star and left-back John Tolkin was sold to Bundesliga side Holstein Kiel, following the departure of center-back Andres Reyes to San Diego FC. Schwarz acknowledged Tolkin's desire to play in Europe and wished him well in his new endeavor. To compensate for these losses, the Red Bulls brought in experienced defenders. Alexander Hack, a long-time Bundesliga player, joins the squad after spending seven seasons with Mainz and being coached by Schwarz for 68 games. Hack, who also played in Saudi Arabia last year, is known for his aggressive style and vocal presence on the field.Furthermore, the Red Bulls added Canadian international Raheem Edwards from CF Montreal and Chilean international Marcelo Morales, both capable of playing as wing-backs on the left.
