The New York City Parks Department wants to remind you: Squirrels are perfectly capable of feeding themselves
Officials from the wildlife unit of New York City’s Parks Department will meet this week with the Battery Park City Authority to offer advice on how to deal with aggressive squirrels that have attacked adults and children at a popular playground.
The city’s Health Department received a report Thursday of a person being scratched by a squirrel at Rockefeller Park’s playground by the Hudson River, which is controlled by the Battery Park City Authority.
