While these were originally intended to help Americans during the COVID pandemic, delayed payments of up to $1,400 could provide a much welcome financial boost after Christmas.
'Another user, Stoogie, shared on January 2 a photo of a letter marked 'Not a bill or an advertisement,' writing: 'It is 2025 and I just got a COVID stimulus check in the mail.'ISA asked X that same day: 'Anybody else get a stimulus check recently cus I just got one outta nowhere.'Payments are automatically deposited into bank accounts or sent by paper check, and recipients will also receive a separate letter regarding the payment.
