1 million taxpayers set to get IRS unclaimed stimulus checks worth up to $1,400

, will mail checks worth up to $1,400 to taxpayers who did not claim their stimulus checks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Looking at our internal data, we realized that one million taxpayers overlooked claiming this complex credit when they were actually eligible,” IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said in a statement.The agency estimates that around $2.4 billion will be sent out to taxpayers by the end of January.
