The new industrial space would repurpose a structure used during the construction of a 25km sewer under the River Thames in London
Up to 100 jobs could be created if an international construction firm is allowed to build a new factory in Nottinghamshire. Plans have been submitted to Bassetlaw District Council for a new manufacturing building to be set up at Explore Park near Worksop in north Nottinghamshire.
This new facility, the company says, would meet a "pressing need" for it to expand its covered off-site manufacturing processes. The shelter would allow workers to better control the difficult process of casting materials for large infrastructure projects like HS2, it explained.
"The proposals lead to the development of an industrial building that will accommodate new growth and investment into the area, in addition to providing new employment opportunities and the ability to upskill the local workforce." The planning application is pending consideration by Bassetlaw District Council.
