Taylor Sheridan’s biggest new series is set to return soon, and Paramount has released what might be the final teaser for Landman Season 2. The new teaser takes fans behind the scenes of production from Landman Season 2, which took place just earlier this year.
It shows several cast members praising the work of leading star Billy Bob Thornton, as well as lauding newcomer Sam Elliot. Elliot previously worked with Sheridan on the Yellowstone prequel, 1883. He’ll play Tommy’s father in Landman Season 2, and he's well-known as a legendary actor for his work on Westerns over the years. Landman Season 2 has lofty standards to meet after the highly successful first season. Landman Season 1 was mostly well-liked by critics and audiences, but it scored record viewership for Paramount on its way to becoming the biggest new series for Paramount+. Fans were taken aback when Paramount waited a few months to announce Landman Season 2’s renewal, but things moved forward quickly after the initial announcement. Landman Season 2 will begin streaming on Paramount+ on November 16, and it will air new episodes every Sunday until the Season 2 finale on January 18. New episodes of Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown are also airing every Sunday. Taylor Sheridan has been in the news cycle a lot lately, largely due to the groundbreaking announcement that he’s leaving Paramount. His film obligations to the studio will be up after next year, but he’ll continue producing TV content for Paramount until the end of 2028. It was announced just last week that Sheridan is working with his long-time collaborator, Peter Berg, on a Call of Duty movie for Paramount. After his work on Sicario, Sheridan is the perfect choice to write a COD movie. When Does Taylor Sheridan’s Call of Duty Movie Come Out? Paramount did not announce a release date or even a window for Taylor Sheridan’s Call of Duty movie, but it likely won’t be released until 2027 or 2028. Sheridan hasn’t finished the script yet and the studio hasn’t even begun the casting process. Sheridan does have another movie, F.A.S.T., that’s already been dated for release on April 23, 2027.
