, the smokehouse that put Houston on the national barbecue map, is ready to take Cypress by storm.
Chef/pitmaster Ronnie Killen’s third location of his barbecue restaurant will mark its official grand opening at 11 a.m. on Jan. 20 at 25618 Northwest Fwy., Cypress. In soft-opening mode this week , the new Cypress location is ready for business. While the restaurant gets up to full staffing, Killen’s Cypress will open daily except Monday at 11 a.m. until sold-out. Permanent hours for lunch and eventually dinner will come later.Barbecue fans can expect the same staple as the original store in Pearland and The Woodlands location: brisket, pork ribs, beef ribs, turkey, pulled pork, sausage, sandwiches, meat plates, and signature sides including potato salad, coleslaw, creamed corn, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese.
“The pop-ups have been really good. We got a lot of people who said they’d drive to Pearland for barbecue,” Killen said. “I’m excited.”
