Cypress Creek led 31-28 heading into the fourth quarter, but Caleb Sanders’ back-to-back layups gave Memorial a 32-31 lead, its first since it scored the game's initial basket. A 5-0 run put the Cougars back on top, with Noah Martin’s alley-oop pass to Tomis Griggs making it 36-34. Hadnot’s second of back-to-back 3-pointers put the Cougars up five before Janecek hit one of his own out of a timeout, cutting the deficit to 44-42.
