Some motorists are being urged to update their driving licences in a new update from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency . The

You do not need to tell us if you move temporarily if we can still contact you at your permanent address.' In a new post on X, formerly Twitter , on Thursday
said: 'If you’ve changed address, update your driving licence details and vehicle log book with online. It’s quick and easy', before adding this link where people can do so online. You can still drive while you wait for your new documents to be sent to you. A licence with incorrect information on it is considered invalid, and if a driver with such a licence was to be stopped by police, this could result in a fine of up to £1,000 and as many as six penalty points.
