DOTHAN, Ala. - One month removed from their arrest for abusing at least one child at a Daleville daycare, the two daycare workers involved in the case have now been taken back into custody and are facing new charges. In a statement released Thursday by Daleville Police Chief John Crawford, it was announced that 20-year-old Kailey Gilley of Daleville was once again arrested and given 2 new counts of aggravated child abuse and 10 charges of child abuse, while 30-year-old Magan Koker of Enterprise was again arrested and given 9 new counts of aggravated child abuse and 4 charges of child abuse.
All of the charges stem from an investigation that began back on September 12, when police were called to Medical Center Enterprise to speak with the parents of a child who was found with bruises and swelling after they were picked up that evening at Happy Hearts Christian Academy Daycare. PoliceBoth Gilley and Koker are also listed with charges for Torture/Willful Abuse of a Child-Non Family, with Gilley receiving 4 of those charges and Koker receiving 2.
