A suspended Dauphin County judge charged with attempted murder is now facing new charges.The Judicial Conduct Board of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on April 10 filed a petition requesting the probation of Magisterial District Judge Sonya McKnight be revoked.This latest petition comes after McKnight failed to report her February arrest for allegedly shooting her ex-boyfriend.
One of those is violating the Pennsylvania Constitution. McKnight has been suspended since September. That's when she was cited for seven violations, including instructing staff to bury a civil complaint filed against her, failing to recuse herself in a matter where her partiality could be questioned, and providing contradictory testimony to the judicial conduct board.This was McKnight's second suspension in three years.
