Hebert's Mexican restaurant in Texas Hill Country now serves the Spicy Susan and the Salty Susan, inspired by a customer who claimed she was overcharged.
A New Braunfels restaurant couldn't come up with just one word to describe a disgruntled customer whose discredited review went viral, so it announced two new cocktails: the Salty Susan and the Spicy Susan . Herbert 's, a Mexican restaurant at 1440 N. Walnut Ave. , recently attracted online attention for a social media post in which it debunked a negative review from a customer named Susan. She said she was charged full price instead of the lunch special price that starts at 11 a.m.
Over 9,000 users reacted to the post, with plenty of applause for the restaurant for defending its honor. In response to the outpouring of support, Herbert's came up with a new cocktail special. The Spicy Susan and the Salty Susan cost $10.58 each. The 'Salty Susan' combines Crown Apple whisky, butterscotch liqueur, cranberry juice, club soda and, of course, a salt rim.
