"I wanted to come because it really meant something to me," Suarez said, adding, "I loved to see people come out, because it really showed how important it is to everybody.

The procession kicked off at 9 a.m. at Prince Solms Park, winding through downtown New Braunfels and ending at the Civic Center. The event, organized by the MLK Association of New Braunfels, aimed to bring the community together to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy and continue his message of unity and equality.

The MLK Association of New Braunfels viewed the strong participation as a positive step toward unifying the increasingly diverse community in the area. "Inspiring people to be a part of what we do is working," Franklin noted. "For them to come out shows that they’re getting the message. As a leader, I was glad to see that happen."
