After successfully pulling them to safety, one of the officers asks a passenger if there were any other occupants in the car. The teen is heard telling authorities there was a third occupant, who became stuck under the driver’s seat during the impact. A witness at the scene said he tried to help officers save the girl, but the blaze made it impossible.
The other two occupants of the vehicle were identified only as the 14-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger. Their names were not released.
