Downtown Cleveland, Inc. installed a new AI security camera on Public Square to increase safety for visitors and neighbors.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -
“It’s different from other cameras across the city and downtown,” Deemer said. “It’s monitored in real-time and we’re able to speak through the camera, we’re able to send somebody out to address a situation depending on what the situation warrants.” “On top of that, we have a smart camera that is itself visible but it’s also gathering information about when people are congregating, when fights might be happening, it’s picking up on patterns of behavior that are going to help us and our partners plan that uniformed personnel deployment more effectively,” Deemer said.This year’s lighting is scheduled for November 30.
