The Fall Fun Day was held in Public Square Saturday afternoon under the sunny blue sky.
CLEVELAND, Ohio –- Public Square is the heart of downtown Cleveland, a place where Northeast Ohio residents gather to see the annual Christmas tree being lit, where ice skating takes place or where the Christmas lights are lit all season long.
To give a little bit of a Halloween twist, the Cleveland Ghostbusters even made an appearance at Fall Fun Days with the Ectomobile. The crew took pictures of attendees and catered to the mobile. Trequann Simpson, 28, of Cleveland, brought his son to Public Square because it’s always nice to see his son outside and not trapped in the house. It’s also good for him to be able to socially interact with other children.
“Public Square is really the Central Park of downtown Cleveland,” he said. “It’s really the hub that the entire downtown and the rest of the city radiates out from. It’s the core of transit, a hub for a lot of residents; it’s sort of like the front yard for a lot of these residential buildings that have been opening up all around there.”
The first iteration of Downtown Cleveland Inc. hosting a fall-type festival began last year at Voinovich Park, where the first the first Fall Fun Days took place. Oct. 5 of this year.
