The new images give us our first look at soon-to-be newlyweds Rachel and Nicky as they trek to visit his wealthy family on the eve of their nuptials. That includes his mother, Victoria Cunningham , as well as a whole passel of creepy would-be in-laws, including Ted Levine , Jeff Wilbusch , Karla Crome , Gus Birney , and Sawyer Fraser . Even as the wedding nears, it's not a joyful occasion; a sense of dread hangs over the proceedings, but the show's creatives are staying mum as to what, exactly, the titular"something bad" is. Are the Cunninghams Rosemary's Baby-style Satanists? Are there homicidal Ready or Not shenanigans afoot? Or is it all in Rachel's head? You'll have to tune in to find out. What Other Projects Are the Duffer Brothers Working on for Netflix? Stranger Things is over and done with , and the Duffers have signed a new four-year mega-deal with Paramount, but the duo who brought Netflix's original programming to previously unheard-of heights aren't done with the streamer yet. For starters, they aren't exactly done with Stranger Things. Stranger Things: Tales From '85 is a new animated series set between the second and third seasons of the series; the show's characters will return, with the addition of new characters played by Odessa A'zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips. They're also producing The Boroughs, a science fiction series set in a retirement community; it will star Bill Pullman, Geena Davis, Clarke Peters, Alfre Woodard, and Alfred Molina. Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen will be showrun and written by Haley Z. Boston, who has previously written for Brand New Cherry Flavor, Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, and Hunters. It will be directed by Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann .
