A leader of a neo-Nazi group has been indicted on four counts of soliciting hate crimes and acts of mass violence.

A federal grand jury in Brooklyn, New York, on Tuesday charged a leader of the neo-Nazi extremist group 'Maniacs Murder Cult' with planning to have an associate give poisoned candy to Jewish children in New York City.The U.S. Department of Justice announced Michail Chkhikvishvili, a 21-year-old native of the Republic of Georgia, was indicted on four charges that includes soliciting hate crimes and acts of mass violence.

His arrest followed an alleged attempt to enlist the undercover officer in carrying out violent crimes that were part of a broader scheme to incite terror that included bombings and arson, according to federal prosecutors.Chkhikvishvili, who is also known as Mishka, Michael, Commander Butcher and Butcher, has been accused of leading the Maniacs Murder Cult—also known as Maniac Murder Cult, Maniacs: Cult of Killing, MKY, MMC and MKU—which is based in eastern Europe.
