Work to replace tracks is expected to continue until the end of the month
Residents living close to a tram stop in Nottingham say they are struggling to sleep due to ongoing late-night works. Engineering work to replace tracks near the Forest Recreation Ground started on Friday, August 18, and is expected to continue until the end of the month.
However, she said she understood that the work needed to be done. "It's a good time to do them because schools are out and university is closed, so it's not a big disruption," she added. Others were less affected by the noise. One student who wished to remain anonymous said the ageing tracks were already causing a noise nuisance.
