City of Ekurhuleni Mayor Tania Campbell and the MMC for Community Safety, Khathutshelo Rasilingwane, visited various wards to monitor the situation with regards to the national shutdown called by the Economic Freedom Fighters yesterday .

Campbell said a few incidents of violence were reported, leading to 12 arrests with charges including public violence, intimidation and interfering with police duties on the R556 in Brackendowns.
