Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets appears to be opening a store in Parma.

PARMA, Ohio — A national chain called Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets is continuing to stake out new locations in the Cleveland area, this time at a store in Parma.

The grocer has signed a lease for a store on Broadview Road in Parma, north of Snow Road, according to Cuyahoga County property records. Construction has started on the location, which is roughly 18,000 square feet and is next to an Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. It used to be a Pat Catan’s but has recently been a Spirit Halloween.what used to be a Bed, Bath & Beyond at Ridge Park Square

, according to documents filed with the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office. Neither lease specifies when these stores may open. Grocery Outlet has not responded for comment.A self-proclaimed “extreme value” retailer, Grocery Outlet is known for smaller grocery stores that offer deep discounts on brand-name items. The stores also have fresh foods and meats.

Grocery Outlet has been rumored to be looking at the Cleveland area and was even named as a suitor for a former Dave’s Market in Cleveland Heights. But the chain has not confirmed these plans and did not respond to questions fromTypically, a retailer will open multiple stores when it first enters a market. Grocery Outlet, which has an owner-operator model, at one point was advertising on its website that it was looking for more locations in Ohio.
