Motorsport legend Juan Pablo Montoya is set to make a historic return to NASCAR at Watkins Glen International next month, marking his first NASCAR race since 2014. Montoya will pilot the No. 50 Toyota car for 23XI Racing, a team co-owned by NBA icon Michael Jordan and NASCAR veteran Denny Hamlin.On top of his last NASCAR Cup Series appearance at the 2014 Brickyard 400, Montoya has also competed and excelled in various other motorsports disciplines, including Formula One, CART, IndyCar, and IMSA.

Reflecting on his return, Montoya shared his anticipation and the special connection to his early career, as quoted by Motorsport:'I'm looking forward to getting back in a Cup car and racing at Watkins Glen - a track I really enjoy and had the chance to experience earlier in my career.'The Mobil 1 brand was one of my first sponsors when I started racing, so to represent the brand again as they celebrate this milestone will be so special.
