Nare Boutique Hotel offers luxury in the heart of Kimberley

Owner Tsholo Wesi, who looks like she has just stepped off the fashion pages of a glossy magazine, sweeps into the room and falls into the Chinese-style chair across from me.

Tsholo was in the hospitality industry for years before she decided to take the leap and open this hotel. To help her with this endeavour, she received support from the National Empowerment Fund . “Kimberley has several conference facilities and attractions on offer but not many luxury four- and five-star accommodation establishments,” she explains.

And I think she’s right. The hotel has luxury finishes – the rooms have stylish bedding, and there are imported taps and luxurious shampoo and soap in the en suite bathrooms – but it doesn’t have that cold, ridged feeling that plagues many high-end hotels.
