The Knoch Knolls Nature Center will host “Terrific Turkeys,” a family program that includes hands-on activities, on select days in November. It’s scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Nov. 20 to 22, at the center, 320 Knoch Knolls Road. Children and their families can take part in free self-guided activities and learn about turkeys through crafts, games and books, Naperville Park District officials said.
The pies will be distributed through Loaves and Fishes Community Services. Community members can help by donating at various park district locations or online at www.napervilleparks.org. In-person donations can be dropped off at the Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Drive, the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave., and the Knoch Knolls Nature Center, 320 Knoch Knolls Road. Donations also will be accepted at Springbrook Golf Course, 2220 W. 83rd St.
