"This unfortunate situation has been filled with miscommunication, false allegations, leaking information to the media and of characters," the letter said. Davis referenced an internal dispute with Tom Roberts, president of the Ohio State Conference, who Davis said was voted out as administrator earlier this year. He claimed that Roberts filed complaints against Watson and the chapter that were not substantiated with documentation.

Roberts is now overseeing the branch while Watson is suspended. The first vice president labeled his interim leadership as a conflict of interest and requested that the national office send a representative to speak with the executive committee and that the national office suspend the election of officers until Watson's suspension is resolved.
