My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, a spin-off anime based on the manga series by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court, is set to premiere in Japan in April 2025. The anime, animated by Bones Inc., takes place five years before the events of the original My Hero Academia series and follows Koichi Haimawari, a young man who uses his abilities to help others despite not being a licensed hero.

The original anime takes place in a world where most people are born with powers called quirks. The story revolves around a quirkless but brave young boy named Izuku Midoriya aka Deku, who gets chosen to become the number one hero’s rightful successor of his power called One-For-All.
