Queensland Police are investigating a series of strange TikToks published by Yingying Xu just hours before she allegedly killed her 10-year-old daughter Sophie Wang.

Police investigate strange TikToks posted by Sophie Wang 's mother Yingying Xu just hours before allegedly slashing the 10-year-old's throat at Gold Coast home

Neighbours reportedly heard"haunting" cries from the family's Gold Coast home as the science professor at Griffith University mourned his daughter until police arrived on the scene. "I'm not going to go into whether there's mental health concerns or not because it's not a matter of discussion at this time," Senior Sergeant Nicole Jackson told the court.

"I couldn't believe what happened because we're a very tight, lovely community," one local told Sky News Australia on Thursday.
