George Fenlon was the victim of a sickening attack at the hands of Rhys Jones
A mum had a caesarean so her baby daughter could meet her dad before he died after a horror attack. George Fenlon, 23, was knocked unconscious by Rhys Jones, 26, on a night out in Blackpool on August 15 last year. A court heard Jones had travelled to Blackpool and started drinking 'almost immediately' when he arrived. Preston Crown Court heard Jones, from Cannock, Staffordshire, was 'spoiling for a fight by 2am.
He had serious head injuries including a fractured skull and several bruises and bleeds to his brain. He underwent three surgeries and became seriously ill with an infection while in intensive care following one operation. He never regained consciousness and died on November 22. At the time of the attack, Mr Fenlon's partner Beth Turner was six months pregnant with their baby daughter.
