A fight involving numerous Upper Darby High School students led to multiple arrests after dismissal on Wednesday.
Police responded to a brawl involving numerous Upper Darby High School students after dismissal Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Windsor and Lansdowne avenues. Officers arrived to find a group of teen girls fighting and attempted to de-escalate the situation and make arrests. Several students resisted, prompting backup to be called. Police have not yet revealed the total number of teens arrested or the charges they'll face. Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy M.
Bernhardt condemned the students' actions, saying they disrupted the community and endangered everyone's safety. Upper Darby School District Superintendent Dr. Daniel P. McGarry also addressed the incident, expressing disappointment and stating that students involved will be disciplined according to the District Code of Character. He praised the police for their support and noted that the majority of students represent the community positively
