KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin received congratulatory messages from Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Indonesian President Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, on his appointment as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia.
The two leaders conveyed their congratulations via separate telephone calls, from Singapore at 2.54pm and from Jakarta at 8.06pm Sunday .
In wishing Muhyiddin success in his new role, the Singapore Prime Minister said he was confident that Muhyiddin could lead the country well based on his wide experience in the political arena and national administration. "On behalf of the Indonesian people, I would like to congratulate Yang Amat Berhormat Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on your appointment by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as the 8th Prime Minister.
