) - Mobile police say they made an arrest following a traffic accident Sunday morning where a woman was found deceased on the scene.The Mobile County Metro Jail log shows Strickland charged with manslaughter.On Sunday, September 8, 2024, at approximately 12:37 a.m., officers responded to a traffic accident at Airport Boulevard and McGregor Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a female driver deceased on scene. The victim has been identified as Katherine Smith, 38. Upon further investigation, officers discovered Smith was crossing Airport Boulevard at McGregor Avenue when the driver of a pickup truck ran a red traffic signal and collided with Smith’s SUV.
